This is a Continuation!

Please see the previous Blog: Living In and As Love,

Peace and Bliss, Part 1, for the first part  . . .

May these words help you and your children embody and radiate love, like rays of

life-sustaining sunshine, as you navigate the unchartered waters of

daily living with clarity, confidence and ease.

Continuing from the previous Blog/Article with what Gurumayi was saying, "The purest love of all, the feeling called devotion, is even more brilliant than the millions of stars scattered across the soft night sky.

Whatever your lifestyle may have been, understand one thing: the moment you’re affected by love, the moment devotion has risen within you, that is the path you must follow. Love is the right decision.”

Yes, like Gurumayi says out of her own experience, “Love is the right decision . . ."

In The Prophet, Kahil Kibran says,

“When love beckons to you, follow him,

Though his ways are hard and steep.

And when his wings enfold you, yield to him,

Though the sword hidden among his pinions may wound you.

And when he speaks to you believe in him,

Though his voice may shatter your dreams as the north wind lays waste the garden.

For even as love crowns you so shall he crucify you. Even as he is for your growth so is he for your pruning.

Even as he ascends to your height and caresses your tenderest branches that quiver in the sun,

So shall he descend to your roots and shake them in their clinging to the earth.

Like sheaves of corn he gathers you unto himself.

He threshes you to make you naked.

He sifts you to free you from your husks.

He grinds you to whiteness.

He kneads you until you are pliant;

And then he assigns you to his sacred fire, that you may become sacred bread for God’s sacred feast.

All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life’s Heart.

But if in your fear you would seek only love’s peace and love’s pleasure,

Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love’s threshing-floor, Into the seasonless world where you shall laugh, but not all your laughter, and weep, but not all of your tears.

Love gives naught but itself and takes naught but from itself.

Love possesses not nor would it be possessed;

For love is sufficient unto love.

When you love you should not say, ‘God is in my heart’, but rather, ‘I am in the heart of God.’

And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

Love has no other desire but to fulfill itself.

But if you love and must have desires, let these be your desires:

To melt and be like a running brook that sings its melody to the night.

To know the pain of too much tenderness.

To be wounded by your own understanding of love;

And to bleed willingly and joyfully.

To wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving;

To rest at the noon hour and meditate love’s ecstasy;

To return home at eventide with gratitude;

And then to sleep with a prayer for the beloved in your heart and a song of praise upon your lips.”

This is how I go to sleep each night and that incredibly peaceful sleep starts within 30 seconds of my head touching the pillow.

Sathya Sai Baba said, “Where there is FAITH, there is LOVE; Where there is LOVE; there is PEACE . . .”

Faith begets Love and Love begets Peace.

You are the peace you seek.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama says, “We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.”

You are the peace you seek.

In this precious moment, if it’s safe for you to do so, I invite you to bring one or both of your hands to your heart. You may also close your eyes if it’s safe to do so.

Focus your full attention at your heart.

Breathe deeply right into the center of your heart chakra, the center of your chest. Feel the energy of your breath softening your heart—bringing more faith and love into your heart.

Feel the pulsations of your heart as it sends currents of life force, faith and love throughout your body.

Feel the peacefulness of your body as these currents of life force, faith and love cascade through it.

Feel the peacefulness of your mind as your body relaxes.

Breathe deeply. If you find your mind wandering away from your breath, away from the feelings of faith, love and peace, breathe deeply again. And again, breathe deeply until every pore of your beautiful being is reminded that being the faith, the love, the peace you are, is your top priority. This is faith. This is love. This is peace.

Just by being present in the moment, you are having faith that all is well.

Just by being present in the moment, you are experiencing the love you are.

Just being present in the moment, not attached to any outcomes, is peace.

Breathe in and be at peace in your mind as you exhale.

Breathe in and be at peace in your body as you exhale.

Breathe in and be at peace with your family as you exhale.

Breathe in and be at peace with your service in the world as you exhale.

Breathe in and be at peace with everything in your life that has come before and everything that will come hereafter.

When you practice connecting with your faith, love, and peace in the quiet moments like this you are building a rainbow bridge to these natural feelings—a rainbow bridge that you can cross over to when your now moment is full of daily activities and unexpected challenges.

Breathe deeply until every pore of your beautiful being feels the faith, love, and peace that are your natural ways of experiencing the world.

Ajahn Chan, a Buddhist Monk says, “If you let go a little, you will have a little peace. If you let go a lot, you will have a lot of peace. If you let go completely, you will have complete peace.”

Now, on a long, slow inhale fill your entire being with the radiant love and tranquil peace you are. Feel as if your entire being is glowing. Hold it for a moment and feel this radiant energy pulsating in every cell of your beautiful body. When you’re ready, exhale, letting go completely into the peace you are.

Inhale again and on the exhale send your love, peace and bliss to everyone and everything on this beautiful planet we’re floating through space on.

Remember what Serge Kahili King said from our program last week: “We are all connected to everyone and everything in the universe. Therefore, everything one does as an individual affects the whole. All thoughts, words, images, prayers, blessings, and deeds are listened to by all that is.

Amma says, “One drop of water cannot be called a river; a river is formed by many drops running together. It is the joining of these countless drops that creates the flow. Together we are a power, an undefeatable power. When we work together, hand in hand, with love, it is not just one life force but the life energy of the collective that flows in harmony, unimpeded. From that constant stream of unity, we will see the birth of peace.”

Are you feeling the birth of peace within you? You can recreate this peace and even a more profound peace at any time. You can choose love and peace at any time.

In The Course in Miracles it says, “I must have decided wrongly, because I am not at peace. I made the decision myself, but I can also decide otherwise. I want to decide otherwise, because
I want to be at peace.”

You truly can live in faith, love, peace and God’s blissful vibrations in each moment—completely untouched by the changes of childhood, youth, age, daily activities and challenges, and even world upheavals.

Sathya Sai Baba said, “Where there is FAITH, there is LOVE; Where there is LOVE; there is PEACE; Where there is Peace, there is God. Where there is God, there is Bliss.

In the song “Imagine”, John Lennon sings,

“Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say that I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope someday you'll join us
And the world will be as one.”

John Lennon imagines a world where we all live in peace—a world where we all live as one.

A world where there is one religion—LOVE—and many ways to practice that religion.

In the next Blog/Article, we’ll explore how every religion is a beacon that lights the path to Love. How every religion sings the praises of God. How every religion speaks of Peace. We’re going to explore the common principles embraced by the different religions of the world and how that can lead us to experience the BLISS we are.

The activities we’re going to enjoy now about faith, love and peace are for children and parents.

Like our thoughts and souls, we can’t see Faith. Faith is invisible like the wind, but just as powerful. It’s invisible like pure, clean air. It’s invisible like God. Faith is one of the many beautiful gifts God gave each of us.

If you stand in front of your mom or dad, close your eyes, and just let yourself fall backwards, you would have Faith that your mom and dad would catch you. You have Faith they wouldn’t let you fall.

When you go into a dark room and flip or turn the light switch on, you hit the light switch because you have faith it will turn the lights on.

When you pray to God, you have faith that there really is a God you are praying to.

In the Bible, Matthew 17:20, Christ says: "If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you."

It only takes a little bit of faith, as tiny as a mustard seed, which is like small bird seed, to accomplish great things. With faith everything is possible.

It’s important to have faith in life. Faith makes everything possible. Faith lets you move through challenges or problems that may seem as big as a mountain.

Faith makes life happier, more joyful. It’s like all the sparkling bubbles that bounce against your body when you jump into a pool—they feel good. It’s like all the bubbles in a glass of sparkling water or soda burst in your mouth—they feel good.

Faith is one of the many beautiful gifts God gave each of us. We can make that faith stronger by being thankful for the Faith we have.

If it’s safe to do so, please bring one or both of your hands to your heart and close your eyes.

Feel the love in your heart.

Feel the thankfulness in your heart.

Feel the faith in your heart.

Say to yourself either silently or out loud if you can, "I have Faith. My faith is strong. I have faith that everything happens for the best. I am full of faith."

Yes, you are full of faith.

You are also full of Love!

When do you feel most Loved or Loving?

What words make you feel Loved?

Do you like hearing someone say “I love you” or “you are so wonderful” or “I appreciate you” or “I understand what you are feeling?”

Do you feel loved when certain things are done for you or given to you?

Do you feel loved every time your parents prepare a meal or dessert for you?

What do you say to or do for others to let them know you love them?

How do you express Love to your pets?

What does that feel like?

Did you know that Love comes to you in many forms?

Love flows to you through your parents, your grandparents, your brothers and sisters, and all your relatives.

Love is the wagging tail of your dog or the purring or cuddliness of your cat.

Love comes to you as the cool breeze, the spectacular colors in sunrises and sunsets, the warmth of the sun, the shimmering of the full moon, the twinkling of starlight, birds singing, butterflies darting by.

Love is flowing to you when you do things to Love yourself.

Like when you say caring, loving, helpful words to yourself or others.

Or think caring, loving, helpful thoughts about yourself or others.

Eating delicious healthy foods, like juicy fruits, and drinking fresh water, are also ways of loving yourself.

Laughing is a way of loving yourself.

Getting plenty of rest, sunshine, play, and sleep are ways of loving yourself.

Smiling for no reason at all, smiling just to smile, is a way of loving yourself.

You can feel the love you are at any time.

Sometime this week, how about drawing a picture of all those things or all those times when you feel Loved or Loving toward others.

You can also tell your mom or dad what all these things are and maybe they could help you draw them or write them down.

Somewhere on that picture, write: “God Is Love. I Am Love.”

How about putting the picture(s) you just drew in a place you can see it every day.

And how about saying out loud three times every day this week: "God Is Love."

Let’s say that right now, either silently or out loud if you can.

"God Is Love. I Am Love. God Is Love. I Am Love. God Is Love. I Am Love."

You are Love.

You are also Peace.

When do you feel most peaceful or the most calm?

When you’re laying with your favorite pet?

When you are sleeping?

When you’re being hugged?

When?

Let’s see if we can feel very peaceful right now.

With one or both of your hands at your heart and your eyes closed if you can, focus your full attention at your heart.

Breathe deeply right into your heart.

Feel the peaceful pulsations of your heart.

Feel the peacefulness of your body.

Feel the peacefulness of your mind as your body relaxes.

Breathe deeply.

Breathe in and be at peace in your mind as you exhale.

Breathe in and be at peace in your body as you exhale.

Breathe in and be at peace with your family as you exhale.

Breathe in and be at peace with all your friends as you exhale.

Breathe in and be at peace with everything in your life as you exhale.

This week, I invite you to draw a picture of all those things or all those times when you feel very peaceful.

Somewhere on that picture, write: “God Is Peace. I Am Peace.”

How about putting the picture(s) you just drew in a place you can see it every day.

And how about saying out loud three times every day this week: "God Is Peace. I Am Peace."

Let’s say that right now, either silently or out loud: "God Is Peace. I Am Peace. God Is Peace. I Am Peace. God Is Peace. I Am Peace."

And let’s add: "God Is Love. I Am Love. Repeat after me please. God is Love. I am Love. God Is Love. I Am Love. God Is Love. I Am Love."

Now let’s add what we said about faith. Please say after me, "I have Faith. My faith is strong. Thank you God for the gift of Faith.  I have faith that everything happens for the best. I am full of faith."

Yes, you are full of faith. Full of love. Full of peace.

Feel the peacefulness of your body as these currents of life force, faith and love cascade through it.

Feel the peacefulness of your mind and your body.

Feel the love of your heart.

Feel the faith of your heart and mind.

Breathe deeply until every pore of your beautiful being feels the faith, love, and peace that are your natural ways of experiencing the world.

Now, on a long, slow inhale fill your entire being with the rock solid faith, radiant love and deep peace you are. Feel as if your entire being is glowing. Hold it for a moment and feel this radiant energy pulsating in every cell of your beautiful body. When you’re ready, exhale, sending your faith, love, and peace to everyone and everything on Earth.

Sathya Sai Baba said, “Where there is FAITH, there is LOVE; Where there is LOVE; there is PEACE; Where there is Peace, there is God. Where there is God, there is Bliss.
